HireMate

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026. This policy describes the HireMate app and this static website.

Who we are

HireMate is provided by Jacek Dogiel. Contact: hiremate.jobtracker@gmail.com.

Data you provide

You may enter or import CV text, a text-readable CV PDF, job-offer text, job-offer URLs, recruiter messages, application statuses, dates, recruiter contact details, reminders, and notes.

HireMate does not currently include user accounts, registration, login, or server-hosted user profiles.

Data saved by the app

The SwiftData schema stores candidate profile fields and raw CV text, job-offer details and source text, application records, and saved interview preparation outputs.

Stored job-offer fields include company, position, salary range, currency, contract type, remote policy, location, seniority, technologies, requirements, benefits, summary, source URL, match score, strengths, missing skills, risk factors, estimated interview probability, and recommendation.

The app also stores a local AppStorage/UserDefaults flag to avoid asking for an App Store review repeatedly.

Storage location

HireMate stores app data locally using SwiftData in the app user's Application Support directory.

HireMate does not use CloudKit or a custom synchronization backend.

Access to your data

The developer of HireMate does not have access to your CV, job offers, recruiter messages, notes, saved applications, or AI-generated results.

These data are not sent to or stored on servers operated by HireMate.

When data may leave the device

If you import a job offer by URL, HireMate uses URLSession to request that page from the relevant job website. That website receives the normal web request needed to serve the page.

HireMate does not use advertising, analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, trackers, external AI APIs, CloudKit, or a custom synchronization backend.

HireMate does not send CV content, job offers, recruiter messages, notes, application records, or AI-generated results to servers operated by HireMate.

If you email support, your email provider and HireMate support receive the information you include in that message.

AI processing

In the current version of HireMate, AI features use Apple's built-in on-device system language model through Apple Foundation Models.

HireMate uses this model for CV extraction, job-offer extraction, match analysis, interview preparation, recruiter message analysis, and follow-up suggestions.

CV text, job-offer text, candidate context, recruiter messages, and application context may be included in prompts processed by the on-device Foundation Models session.

HireMate does not configure an external AI provider or send AI prompts to a server operated by HireMate.

Website privacy

HireMate does not add analytics, advertising trackers, tracking pixels, or marketing cookies to this website.

The website is hosted using GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical information, including visitors' IP addresses, for security and service operation purposes under GitHub's Privacy Statement.

Support messages

If you contact support, HireMate support processes your email address and the content of your message.

This information is used only to reply to you and resolve the issue.

Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request or meet legal obligations.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data contained in support correspondence.

Your rights

For data HireMate may actually hold, mainly support correspondence, you may ask to access, correct, or delete that data by emailing support.

Because app data is stored locally on your device and is not available to HireMate, HireMate cannot access, export, correct, or delete your local CV, job offers, notes, applications, or AI-generated results for you.

Purposes

HireMate uses your entered data to organize job offers, calculate dashboard metrics, track application status, extract CV and job details, compare your profile with offers, estimate match score and interview probability, prepare interviews, analyze recruiter messages, and draft follow-up messages.

Retention and deletion

Data remains in the local app store until you delete supported records or remove the app and its local data from the device.

You can delete individual applications, unlinked job offers, and the CV profile in the app. Linked job offers are archived instead of deleted.

You can remove all local app data by uninstalling the app. Device backups or Apple system-level restore mechanisms may retain copies according to your device settings.

Security

HireMate relies on Apple's app sandbox and platform storage protections. Keep your device, passcode, and Apple ID secure.

No software can guarantee perfect security.

Children

HireMate is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children.

Changes

This policy may be updated if HireMate changes how the app or website handles data.
